But alas.
The death of inspiration pretty much shot that horse in the face. Oh well, it'll come back - eventually.
I'm not living a particularly exciting life this weekend, and while it's nice to just have some time with the most kickass parents ever, it's also kind of boring. Sorry not sorry.
Sure, sometimes it's nice to get some time to listen to some nice music and just chill - and I'm just going to focus on that. 'cause let's be real, music can make anything better!

I read too
While I love to write, and I do it whenever I can... I'm pretty much known as a bookworm. My oldest friend (the girl I've known since diapers) just refers to me as bookworm when we're on the phone instead of just referring to me by name.
And I always love discovering new stories and characters and opening my heart to them. I've read a plethora of classics for school, but now that I don't have to read anything anymore, I find myself reading a lot of young adult novels, especially those with supernatural creatures or dystopian elements. I just think those novels explore a lot of cool themes in interesting ways.
(Book recommendations are always welcome)
So while I do love to read about characters more in my own age bracket - yes, I know, I'm getting old - it's still nice and relaxing to sit down with a book about teens figuring out who they are and what they want all in the midst of a crazy society, or a war between races...
This entire post was basically a fuck you to Christine for getting me addicted to Vampire Academy - because some of those characters are just KILLING me...

It's the start of a new story
It's been years since I last had a blog, and my GOD a lot has changed.
I'm no longer that 16-year-old who just stumbled on American pop culture and was forever changed - but I can still credit a lot of who I am today to that one decision to join a forum about Lost. Yes, surprisingly philosophical for a show that holds the top spot for "terrible endings". However, if I had not joined that forum and met these wonderful people, I doubt I would have pursued this path in life.
After this, I fell in love with American pop culture - and the theory that is involved. So I studied it. Years and years - and years - of studying later, I finally have my Master's Degree in North-American Studies. I'll accept applause, thanks, because fucking finally.
I'm still a mess, and yeah, I'm working on that, and I'm still growing and learning.
Most importantly, I'm still writing. I owe a lot of my love for fanfiction to Jason Parr - a talented writer I still believe will be published someday. Right now, I'm writing a mix of both fanfic and original stuff, and this blog will revolve mostly around the original stuff and random stories about my life.
Try not to fall asleep ;)
